Rishiraj was born and brought up in the lap of Kanchenjunga which is the 3^rd highest mountain in the world. Rishiraj went to school at St. Josephs College, Darjeeling, India, where he did his basic and advance mountaineering course with Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in mid 90’s. Since then he has been leading and guiding high altitude treks throughout Nepal, Tibet and the Indian Himalayas for World Expeditions Australia until 2005. He is currently working as a freelance leader for K.E. Charity Challenge UK and Himalayan Quests. When not in the mountains, Rishiraj spends his time exploring, mountain biking and playing with children. He holds a current certificate in Wilderness First Aid.
