The Gauri Shankar Region is one of Nepal’s least-visited trekking areas, offering an exceptional blend of wilderness, cultural diversity and high mountain scenery. Named after the sacred twin peaks of Gauri Shankar (7,134m), the region stretches between Langtang and Everest and remains largely untouched by mainstream tourism. Trekkers encounter remote Sherpa, Tamang and Jirel communities, pristine forests, high ridges and dramatic Himalayan views while exploring trails rich in both natural and cultural heritage.
